Volunteer first responders help their fellow citizens in times of need. Volunteers enjoy a sense of accomplishment, achievement, and pride in the work they do. You’d learn new skills, make new friends, be a part of a team, give back to the community, and make a real difference.

Basic Requirements to joining:

• Be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate, or possess a GED equivalent

• Possess a valid Michigan driver's license

• Complete the on-line volunteer firefighter application form

• Submit to a background check

• Complete MI Fire Fighter I within two (2) Years of joining.
